As-Salah (The Prayer) 4 Rak’ahs (Units)

Make your intention (an-Niyyah) to do a two Rak’ahs for a particular prayer for Allaah’s Pleasure

First Takbir: Allaahu akbar

Allaah is the Greatest

subHaanaka-Allaahumma, wa biHamdika, wa tabaarakas-muka, wa ta’aala jadduka, wa laa ilaaha ghayruka

I declare You free and far removed from all imperfections, O Allaah, and all praise is for You. Blessed is Your Name. Great and Exalted is Your Kingdom. None has the right to be worshipped besides You.

a’oodhu billaahi minash-shayTaanir-rajeem, min hamzihi, wa nafkhihi, wa nafthihi

I seek refuge with Allaah from Satan, the Rejected One, from the insanity he brings about, from his arrogance and from his evil poetry.

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy.

siraaTal-ladheena an’amta ‘alaihim ghayrilmaghDoobi ‘alayhim wa laD-Daal-leen.

The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger (such as the Jews) nor of those who went astray (such as the Christians).

Surah Al Kauthar (108) (A River in Paradise)

bismillaahir-raHmaanir-raHeem

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy.

innaa a’Taynaa kal-kawthar
Verily, We have granted you (O Muhammad (Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam)) Al- Kauthar (a river in Paradise)

faSalli lirabbika wanHar

Therefore turn in prayer to your Lord and sacrifice (to Him only).

Inna shaani’aka huwal-abtar

For he who makes you angry (O Muhammad (Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam)), – he will be cut off (from every good thing in this world and in the Hereafter).

Going to bow: Allaahu akbar

I declare my Lord, the Supreme, free and far removed from all Imperfections

Rising from bow: sami’ Allaahu liman Hamidah

Allaah listens and responds to the one who praises Him.

qul huwallaahu aHad

Say (O Muhammad (Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam)): “He is Allâh, (the) One.

Allaahus-Samad

The Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, He neither eats nor drinks.

lam yalid walam yoolad

He begets not, nor was He begotten;

walam yakullahu kufuwan aHad.

And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him.”

Words of Praise and glorification are for Allaah alone, and Prayers and acts of worship, and pure words and attributes. May Allaah send peace and security upon the Prophet, and may Allaah’s Mercy and Blessings be upon him. May Allaah send peace and security upon us, and upon all of Allaah’s righteous servants. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His Slave and Messenger

Sending salaah upon the Prophet: Allaahumma Salli ‘alaa muHammad, wa ‘alaa aali muHammad, kamaa Sallayta ‘alaa ibraaheema, wa ‘alaa aali ibraaheema, innaka Hameedum-majeed.
Allaahumma baarik ‘alaa muHammad, wa ‘alaa aali muHammad, kamaa baarakta ‘alaa ibraaheema, wa ‘alaa aali ibraaheema, innaka Hameedum-majeed.

O Allaah! Extol and honour Muhammad and the true followers of Muhammad, just as You extolled and honoured Ibraaheem and the righteous offspring of Ibraaheem. Indeed, You are deserving of all praise, Perfect in Glory and Honour.
0 Allaah! Send continual blessings upon Muhammad and upon the true followers of Muhammad, just as You sent blessings upon Ibraaheem and upon the righteous offspring of Ibraaheem. Indeed, You are deserving of all praise, Perfect in Glory and Honour.

Seeking refuge from four things: Allaahumma innee a’oodhu bika min ‘adhaabi jahannama, wa min ‘ adhaabilqabri, wa min fitnatil-maHyaa wal-mamaat, wa min sharri fitnatil-maseeHid-daj-jaal.

O Allaah! I seek refuge with You from the punishment of Hell-Fire, and from the Punishment of the Grave, and from the Trials of Living and Dying, and from the Evil Trials of the False Messiah (Dajjaal).

Taslim to the right: as-salaamu ‘alaykum wa raHmatullaah

May Allaah grant you peace and security, and may His Mercy be upon you.
